FORGED STEEL BALL VALVE

FORGED STEEL BALL VALVE

DESCRIPTION AND FEATURES

STR forged ball valve is made up from a carbon steel or stainless-steel bar. This bar is then forged, i.e. it is shaped using a hammering device (hammer) and a stand (die), in order to get the desired size and aspect. This can be done with three different techniques: hot forging, warm forging, or cold forging. Forging is a great way to prevent the formation of defects (porous elements) inside the valve parts. The process also helps position the metal fibres in order to create robust parts and reinforce their mechanical strength.. It can be turned to open or close for fluid flow. Forged steel ball valves are the ideal choice for compact application and high-pressure applications. Their increased durability and wall thickness ensures less chance of failure than a cast valve, The forged steel ball valves are created by a method known as forging. Forging is based on the application of thermal energy to solid blocks of steel, followed by mechanical forces’ application to process the steel into a finished product further. This system is used to create excellent and challenging valves
